What Matters to Us

Over the years we've identified particular values that inform what we do and the way we do it as a church. While these values are foundational, it's important to mention that they are also still in development, as we continue to look to God to clarify, lead, and correct us so that we value what He values.
God’s Sovereign Leadership and Transforming Power
We value learning to trust God as he works powerfully to renew our lives through the gospel. Salvation and spiritual growth come through the completed work of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit working in us as we trust and obey God. Jesus Christ is the head of our church, and His leadership is essential for every good thing that happens.

Open Bibles
We value navigating all of life with our Bibles open. In the Bible, God reveals who he is and how he works to bring salvation and renewal to all things; therefore, we want to grow in understanding and applying the Bible.

Genuine Worship
We value celebrating who God is and what he has done for us through song, prayer, scripture reading/ teaching, communion, and service. We want our worship to be real and expressive, permeating every aspect of our lives.

Welcoming Community
We value every person in our church family. As we come together under Christ, our differences are to our advantage. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we are committed to walking forward in humility, gentleness, patience, and love toward one another.

Real Relationships
We value deepening relationships characterized by love, authenticity, and commitment. We want everyone to know and be known by others as we walk forward together in God’s grace and truth.

Children and Youth
We value intentional connection with and service to the youth and kids in our church and community. Kids and youth are a part of our church family, and we are committed to helping them follow Jesus now and for the rest of their lives.

Servant Leadership
We value leaders with high character who follow Jesus’ example in humble, sacrificial, and loving service to others.

Engagement With the World
We value intentional, sacrificial, and courageous engagement with the broken world, sharing the good news of Jesus with all people in our words and actions. We want to be responsive to the world’s needs and concerns without being pressed into its’ mold.

The Global Church
We value seeking the welfare of other gospel-centered churches in our city, county, and beyond. We generously support gospel work and church planting near and far.
