Indonesia Missions Trip

For over 20 years, our family has prayed for and supported several people serving in Indonesia. This summer, Jake, Josh (17), and Faith (15) have an opportunity to visit Papua, Indonesia.

Why go this summer?
  • For Josh and Faith to see firsthand how God is working across the globe so that as they begin to make decisions about their future education and work, they can have a broadened perspective of how their lives could impact others.   
  • For Jake and the kids to learn and pray as we explore the possibility of moving to Papua as a family in 2026 or 2027 to learn the Indonesian language and serve.

We have reached our funding goal!  We are thankful for God's provision and humbled by the generosity of so many.


Please pray with us:
  • That Jesus will be glorified in Papua and that every people group will have access to God’s word and a God-glorifying Christian community
  • That God will give us discernment about whether we should pursue moving to Papua in the future
  • That we will have humble, learning hearts and minds

About Papua
Papua has a varied terrain of swampy lowlands, biodiverse forests, and wildly high mountains – so high there are glaciers near the equator. It is home to more than 300 tribes that speak distinct languages. People in this region experience higher rates of poverty and malaria compared with the rest of Indonesia.

Near the capital city of Papua, Sentani is a hub for many organizations doing long-term work throughout the island, such as:  
  • Aviation support for tribes in inaccessible mountainous regions
  • Language and literacy support for minority languages
  • Bible translation for unreached people groups
  • Training for local church leaders
  • Sustainable development
