Foundations in Biblical Worldview Class

Seaside is excited to welcome Derek Heibert of Western Seminary, who will be teaching a class on Foundations in Biblical Worldview. This is one of the many classes offered by Western’s Center for Leadership Development. Along with the content you would get through the online class, he will be including additional materials for in-class discussion as well as time for open Q + A.

Your worldview—how you understand and experience all of life and reality—is one of the most important things about you. It affects virtually every aspect of your life. As such, the Christian worldview is formed by the powerful, all-consuming story of the Bible. This course discusses the concepts of worldview and story, and how these two realities are brought together in shaping a person’s whole outlook on reality, influencing the way they live and experience everyday life. As well, the concepts of religious pluralism and dualism—key aspects of contemporary secular culture—will be discussed.
